Large backgrounds make a very impressive visual impact on websites- if done right. Some do's and don'ts when it comes to using a large background.
"Large Website Backgrounds Do’s and Don’ts”
A very poorly written. grammatically sloppy, and content wise, rubbish heap of an article, consisting mostly of barely thought out concepts, erroneous assumptions and poor sentence structure.
More full of bullshit than a hat full of bullshit, the article is a waste of time for anyone seeking guidance on design, large backgrounds or otherwise.
You can clearly see that the Jpeg image format isn’t suited for graphics, instead a web designer should use this format if he is dealing with photos and to use GIF format when dealing with graphics.
huh?? umm… NO!
With the big hype around the iPhone and smartphones, most of the visitors tend to browse web pages using these device
again, NO - the majority of users are using (ugh) IE6,7 of all things. The article istnt all bad, but getting the good out of the crap is like digging for food out of a dumpster
I’m with Mark, nuff said. I struggled to get through the article purely because I had to reread every sentence to understand what they were on about. Then half the time disagreed or concluded that it was common sense anywhere.
I just don’t think some people read through their work before publishing…
Annoucement: I'm looking for a few news posters. Interested?
