is this an attempt for a web 2.0 style menu? if so : failure.
@Dries - the Title nor the Description say Web 2.0, so your analysis (or focus) is a failure.

Who can say what is or isn’t web 2.0 style?! It’s all a matter of opinion and perspective. I don’t think about one particular style (though many people seem to with all the high gloss and stripes) but rather i think web 2.0 is better represented as a standard for better UI, form and functionality, as well as simplicity.
On that note, i think the menu looks good, works well, and is standards compliant. Nice work.
The magic depressible menus are really cute. I like what I see.
"Depressed” ? Looks like they’re popping out on pills to me. Uppers?
