I am making a website with a drop down menu and while it appears in Firefox and Safari it is hidden behind the core text in IE. I imagine there is something missing within the dropdown menu CSS.

What about the z-index value, also the menu seem to get stopped at the end of the menu div, perhaps changing the overflow setting, without seeing code its difficult to workout whats happeneing.

I am thinking about z-index issue also. Did you test in other browser such as IE6/7 Firefox, Chrome that have the same output or not.
