Hello my dear friends at cssdrive,

found your site cssdrive and the great thoughts and sites that are represented here… Great work - i am impressed!

Well i want to ask you about my first experiment with a cms called Joomla. I have done it - but it is in BETA-Stage. No user are on the page. I work in a school - K12.  I thougth some times if this posting is way too early - since my page is in Beta-stage.
After a couple of weeks on and off tweaking, I have come up with this:

the site http://www.jobstarters.org

It’s based on the default rhuk_solarflare template:

Site-Goal: since i am a teacher at a K 12 school. My focus is on job starters -  all my pupils are jobstarters. Pupils that are currently in the Junior-High-School. They are looking for volunteer-jobs and any way to get some continued education - in Germany. So the goal is to get some job aquisitation and offers. Matching the options and the puplis is the goal. So i am in the early Beta-Stage and need some ideas and hints to either the look and feel (graphics etc) and to the modules…

Well i have added the following;

- rhuk-solaflare-template (see http://rc.hrpr.com/ and http://forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?f=466&t=281286 )
- SOBI 2 ( see sigsiu.net )
- google-map ( see http://tech.reumer.net )
- planned: perhaps i want to add jommunity - to show some profiles of my user

Question: i need to redesign the images and the look and feel of the front-page. What do you suggest? Do you have any idea what to add as header image: perhaps some images from my pupil Well - a very important question:

i found some great designs at the pages - see here: http://www.bestofjoomla.com/index.php?x=36&y=5&TagsTo=10_28_29_145_125_36_43_44_38&option=com_bestoftemplate&task=viewcategory&fsort;=&fcolor;=&ffav;=&fedit;=&Itemid=46
http://www.gavick.com/ - see eg. the pages done here yourflash.com

perhaps i want to add some options to post a CV - but how to do this? Which module should i take? Joomla has not any good module… perhaps this one that is used here: http://www.teststrategics.com/  see http://www.teststrategics.com/index.php?option=com_forme&Itemid=57

you see I’m not a web designer or code expert! And I have customised a number of aspects (with html and css for dummies -
clearly a book aimed directly at me!). I experimented with a few third party extensions but subsequently decided.

There are a few areas I still want to change:

1. The top banner at the top. I think I want to lose that completely
2. I want to change the header image… see - see here: http://www.bestofjoomla.com/index.php?x=36&y=5&TagsTo=10_28_29_145_125_36_43_44_38&option=com_bestoftemplate&task=viewcategory&fsort;=&fcolor;=&ffav;=&fedit;=&Itemid=46
http://www.gavick.com/ - see eg. the pages done here yourflash.com
3. Need to crunch some graphics… do you have suggestions.
4. Need to add a tool for CV adding… eg. such one like this
http://www.teststrategics.com/index.php?option=com_forme&Itemid=57

Above all: i found some great designs at the pages - see here:
http://www.bestofjoomla.com/index.php?x=36&y=5&TagsTo=10_28_29_145_125_36_43_44_38&option=com_bestoftemplate&task=viewcategory&fsort;=&fcolor;=&ffav;=&fedit;=&Itemid=46  http://www.gavick.com/ - see eg. the pages done here yourflash.com Hope you get a chance to look at the site and I would welcome any feedback.
