In my eyes the rotation logo and the sliding portfolio review cause too much distraction. I found it very difficult to focus on anything else and actually read some of the texts.
In addition I would guess that regular visitors prefer the menu in the header to lead instantly so that they don’t have to wait for it to materialize.
