gaps between images…

I am in the process of creating a highly complex page, where all images must be perfectly aligned to create the desired effect. Things were going great, until I changed some of the images to links, and instantly they all have a padding of about 5 pixels. I undid the code, and nothing changed. I have been trying all sorts of options, setting image padding and margins and borders to 0, but nothing happens. Nothing is changing, and I can’t get it to match up.

I have three images that need to be right next to each other in a row, and then a second row underneath has to be flush with the top row and with the other images.

Any help would be appreciated. (I don’t have the files online yet, I was hoping to finish the project before placing it online.)

Thanks a ton!

Just try to format the <a> tag. Normally underlining or something like that changes the output behaviour.
