Hello there.

I’m trying to set up a full browser flash site. I have done the initial changes in flash under HTML where you have to change the height and width to 100% with no scaling but I can’t seem to get it to fit the full screen. Is there a certain size I have to start at because I have it at 1024pxls. I think I got a brain fart going on. Thank you.

yes, flash website is better than remaining sites. it gives great look, there is no doubt on this. But it take more time to loading the web page. on this time customer will feel unhappy on this time.

No there is no any authentic way yet to optimize a flash sites. Search engine crawlers are not much efficient to crawl the flash web site. They have started to crawl but not in much better way,. but possibly the crawling of flash websites will start in efficient way. just wait for the updates by Google.

Include div tag in your HTML to define size whatever you want. Then put flash on it.

I think the loading will become less of an issue in the near future with broadband becoming so widespread, and if you have a B2B product, most business’s use a decent inet connection. I also read (cant remember where) there will be a change in the autumn re flash sites that dont need adobe loaded due to new browser updates (Google I think).

This may sound stupid, but how big is your screen?

The only thing you’re gaining is more interactivity and a slicker look.

BUT, you are losing a lot - visitors will be irritated with the loading time,
not to mention the whole SEO aspect of it (it will rank terribly).

My thoughts are: BAD idea, don’t do it

I don’t think 800px is standard for coding.

I am agree with you. Flash website is very good looking and having good designing but from the SEO point of view it is not good. Flash website are not SEO friendly. If you are aware with the SEO concepts you know that flashes are not allowed to use in your websites in order to better perform in search engines with your competitors.

Thanks.
