New Design up!
Posted on: 08/29/2009 Comments: (37)The last redesign of CSS Drive was just over 2 years ago, so I'm excited that the new look- after a few months of stop and go- is finally now complete! I decided to enlist the help of the very talented Maleika of Rockatee, who caught my eye with his creativity and unconventional sense of style. I wanted a look that was professional yet slightly unorthodox, and I think Meleika delivered nicely.

News Posters wanted
Posted on: 10/27/2007 Comments: (200)Hi everyone:
I'm looking for a few volunteers to help out with the posting of news on CSS Drive, as it's hard sometimes for me to keep up with all that's going on in the web design arena. As a news poster you will be credited on both the frontpage of CSS Drive where your entry shows up, and on the News section, a more dedicated credit area as well. If you're a web designer that keeps up with the various web design news and blogs out there, please consider becoming a volunteer. You must own a site, as that is what I'll be using to credit you.
If you're interested, please contact me, and let me know a little about yourself.
Update (Oct 28th, 07'): I've just deleted the existing comments, as a lot of them were spam in disguise. I'm still looking for people who wish to post news. Part of the new criteria is that you must run a site that's web design or coding related, and link to it when posting your comment so I can check it out. All other comments most likely will be deleted (aka spam).
Thanks!
CSS Drive reloaded!
Posted on: 10/01/2007 Comments: (12)Well, as you can see, CSS Drive has a new face! I can't quite remember how long the previous design was in place, but it must have been at least a couple of years now. And if I hadn't gotten off my lazy behind, it could easily have been 3 years. (continued...)
Server Move frustration
Posted on: 08/17/2007 Comments: (16)Ok, the frustration is really starting to pile up. At the beginning of this month (August), I moved CSSDrive.com to a different server (one you're seeing now), and updated the DNS accordingly. What I thought would be a 1-2 days affair, one week maximum, continues to this day. You see, I'm still getting the old site when typing in the domain itself, and from server logs, I see close to a quarter of you are as well. Apart from the fact that it means I'm paying two hosting accounts unnecessarily, it also makes updating the site very difficult in some areas without being able to access it by domain, and hence those plans are all on hold right now.
The longer this drags out, the more it seems like it will never end as some of you and I are stuck in DNS gray zone for an eternity...
Rating feature added
Posted on: 05/31/2006 Comments: (47)Hi: I've just added an ajax rating feature to the CSS Gallery section. You can now rate each design on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the best obviously. Note that you may only vote once for each design, and for sake of efficiency, the results are cached and only updated every 20-30 minutes. This means after you've voted, reloading the page will still display the old results until the cache expires. Efficiency over intuitiveness I guess. :)
Anyhow, have fun rating a design!
Forum section updated
Posted on: 03/30/2006 Comments: (15)Well, I finally had a little time to change the look of the forum to be in sync with the rest of the site. I know, way overdue. Carry along...
Man down, man down!

The new CSS Drive
Posted on: 01/22/2006 Comments: (19)Well, as you can see, CSS Drive has a new look! This is probably the first real redesign since the site went online late 2004. "Better late than never" is my only excuse lol. With this new version of CSS Drive, my three main goals were to better organize the existing sections of the site, (particularly the CSS Gallery), introduce a live News Area (pioneered by Stylegala), and finally, overhaul the cluttered, outdated design with something more spacious and together looking.
